What You'll Do11
- 1Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, and team members across diverse backgrounds
- 2Operate radiographic equipment to complete imaging procedures while following radiation safety principles
- 3Perform direct patient care including monitoring conditions, transporting patients, and applying infection control protocols
- 4Ensure exam rooms are clean and properly stocked while conducting routine equipment safety checks
- 5Cross-train in advanced modalities and maintain ALARA radiation safety standards
- 6Produce high-quality radiographic images through proper patient positioning and technical factor selection
- 7Document patient information accurately in EMR and PACS systems
- 8Assist patients during procedures ensuring comfort and privacy in accordance with regulations
- 9Learn and master healthcare software platforms such as Cerner and Radnet
- 10Take ownership of imaging processes and manage departmental registries and licenses
- 11Maintain continuing education and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills
Requirements11
- 1High School Graduate or equivalent
- 2Associate degree preferred with Bachelor's preferred
- 3One year post-certification experience required
- 4Ability to read write and speak conversational English
- 5Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- 6Knowledge of radiation safety concepts time distance shielding
- 7Experience with infant pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patient populations
- 8Adult/child/infant CPR certification
- 9Must be able to operate radiographic equipment independently
- 10Strong communication skills for diverse patient interactions
