Overview
You will perform high-quality 2D and 3D mammography exams, owning the full imaging process from patient positioning to final image capture. You will work with 3D mammography equipment, collaborating with radiologists and the breast imaging team at AdventHealth Littleton. What You'll Do8
- 1Perform 2D and 3D mammography exams, positioning patients and adjusting technical factors for optimal image quality.
- 2Verify patient identity, obtain informed consent, and follow time-out procedures before every exam.
- 3Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS systems, recording exam details and results.
- 4Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results.
- 5Participate in patient tracking and follow-up, assisting with recalls, additional imaging, and biopsy scheduling.
- 6Run daily QC checks on equipment and document results per MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines.
- 7Prepare exam rooms, ensure equipment cleanliness and safety, and restock supplies as needed.
- 8Support breast center initiatives such as accreditation prep, community screening events, and quality improvement.
Requirements10
- 11+ years of experience as a Mammographer
- 2Registered Mammographer RT(M)(ARRT) certification
- 3Registered Radiology Technologist RT(R)(ARRT) certification
- 4Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification
- 5Knowledge of Mammography and diagnostic radiological procedures
- 6Ability to determine appropriate technical factors for each patient
- 7Familiarity with MQSA and ACR regulations
- 8Proficiency with PACS and basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- 9Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- 10Ability to complete exams in a timely manner under stressful conditions
