Technologist Aide, Mammography & Patient Care
Overview
You will own the front-line patient experience and clinical support in a high-volume mammography center, ensuring seamless registration, scheduling, and exam preparation for 5+ daily patients. You'll join a cross-trained team of technologists and coordinators, backed by decades of radiology expertise. This role stands out for its direct impact on patient care and access to BLS and Mammography workflows.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet and register patients, collect copays, and verify all patient information during the first 90 days.
- 2Notify team members of patient arrival and communicate delays, offering rescheduling for timely care.
- 3Obtain insurance authorizations, collect signatures, and ensure accuracy of documentation.
- 4Schedule, reschedule, or cancel patient appointments and confirm changes with staff.
- 5Sterilize equipment and tools before each exam in every department.
- 6Assist technologists with patient positioning and comfort during mammography procedures.
- 7Safeguard patient property and PHI, and maintain compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- 8Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities in all interactions.
Requirements6
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 21+ year of medical office experience and intermediate computer skills.
- 3Working knowledge of medical terminology and recent medical or radiology office experience preferred.
- 4BLS certification required.
- 5Ability to remain professional and exercise sound judgment in a clinical setting.
- 6Structured work approach and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
