Mitigation Technician, Water & Storm Cleanup
Overview
Mitigation Technicians perform water and storm damage cleanup for properties at scale, delivering excellent service to clients and insurers while working on call. This role requires hands on construction related tasks, collaboration with the Project Manager, and a servant’s mindset. You will operate in environments affected by disasters and must communicate progress clearly. This position blends physical labor with customer service and on site problem solving.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build and dry out internal damaged areas using specialized equipment
- 2Identify wet items and remove debris including drywall and flooring
- 3Pump water out with extraction equipment and dry materials with drying tools
- 4Provide exceptional customer service and communicate updates to clients and insurance representatives
- 5Respond 24x7 as needed and coordinate with Project Manager on site
- 6Assist with on site safety and adhere to company procedures
- 7Support other crew members and complete duties as assigned
Requirements5
- 1High School diploma or GED or equivalent
- 2Successful completion of IICRC WRT or similar class, or 1-2 years related experience
- 3Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- 4Strong English communication skills and ability to read safety rules and manuals
- 5On call 24x7 availability and ability to work overtime as needed
