Military Base Enrollment Advisor, San Diego & Veteran Education
Overview
You own the full enrollment lifecycle for prospective military students at the Spectrum Center in San Diego, CA, guiding them from initial inquiry through their first class start. You manage a pipeline of inbound and outbound communications via phone, text, and email, and you build rapport with active-duty service members and veterans to help them make informed decisions about their education. You collaborate with Education Service Officers on base and coordinate with scheduling and faculty to ensure compliance with Military Base MOUs. This role stands out because you'll engage directly with military students, attend base debriefs and events, and ensure they maximize their Tuition Assistance and GI Bill benefits.
What You'll Do10
- 1Engage prospective military students by phone, text, and email to move them from inquiry to enrollment.
- 2Document every interaction in Salesforce with accurate notes, statuses, and activity reports.
- 3Provide precise information on all university programs, academic policies, costs, and schedules to prospective students.
- 4Guide students through the document collection for program estimates and create degree plans based on prior transcripts.
- 5Enroll students in programs, build class schedules, and adjust courses as needed before their start date.
- 6Deliver new student orientations in person, by phone, and online to prepare students for success.
- 7Relay critical information between the base's Education Service Office and National University to maintain alignment.
- 8Attend on-base events including Welcome Aboard briefings, TA orientations, education fairs, and graduation ceremonies.
- 9Travel to nearby bases for coverage as needed and participate in base drills, including fire and active shooter training.
- 10Complete required trainings such as PsychArmor and ensure compliance with DOD MOU mandates.
Requirements9
- 11-2 years of customer service experience in a team environment, using call center software.
- 2Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3Experience in education or consultative sales, with military affiliation preferred.
- 4Proficiency with CRM, SIS, and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- 5Ability to navigate multiple technology systems and manage a student application file efficiently.
- 6Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse constituencies in a fast-paced environment.
- 7Personal ownership and accountability, with the ability to resolve student issues proactively.
- 8Understanding of military benefits including Tuition Assistance, GI Bill, and federal and state funding.
- 9Capacity to work independently and collaboratively, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
