Front Desk Data Entry Specialist, Military Family Readiness
Overview
You will own the front desk and data entry operations for the Military & Family Readiness Center at Hanscom AFB, serving active duty, families, and retirees. You will greet visitors, manage schedules, and input data into AFFIRST and DOD TAP systems. You will support the 66th Force Support Squadron with precision and care. This role requires a high school diploma and 1+ years in customer service, admin support, and data entry. You will ensure smooth front desk operations and accurate reporting, all while safeguarding Privacy Act information.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate M&FRC staff, raising awareness of programs and services.
- 2Schedule clients for classes in AFFIRST and DOD TAP systems, sending reminder emails one week prior.
- 3Enter all TAP data and resources into AFFIRST with 85% accuracy within two business days.
- 4Generate monthly client usage reports and deliver to the Chief of M&FRC and COR by the fifth working day.
- 5Safeguard Privacy Act information and comply with 5 U.S.C. §552a.
- 6Maintain front desk appearance: align chairs, materials, and resources; report inoperable equipment.
- 7Secure government facilities, equipment, and materials at the close of each work period.
- 8Complete mandatory training per Air Force directives and instructions.
Requirements9
- 11+ years of customer service experience.
- 21+ years of administrative support experience.
- 31+ years of data entry experience.
- 4High school diploma.
- 5Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- 6Pass an Information Assurance exam and receive a favorable security background check.
- 7Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Edge, Chrome, MS Office Word, Excel, and MS Office Suite.
- 8At least three professional references.
- 9Preferred: understanding of military protocol, support groups, and family systems in a military setting.
