Overview
You will own merchandising and freight processing at a high-volume Dollar Tree store, supporting the Store Manager in leading a team of associates. You will drive sales effectiveness through Clip Strips, Power Panels, and Sales Planners, while ensuring the sales floor and stockroom meet Dollar Tree standards. What You'll Do10
- 1Assist the Store Manager in all store functions and day-to-day activities, including opening and closing procedures.
- 2Protect company assets, including store cash, by adhering to policies and procedures.
- 3Maintain the sales floor and stockroom to Dollar Tree standards, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out trash.
- 4Process corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information requests.
- 5Manage freight flow and process the receipt and return of DSD merchandise according to productivity standards.
- 6Order and stock merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items, to meet productivity standards.
- 7Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
- 8Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners to drive sales.
- 9Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective and visually appealing.
- 10Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
Requirements4
- 1Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
- 2Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
- 3Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- 4Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
