Merchandiser – Product Strategy & Commercial Ownership at Hunkemöller
Overview
You will own product strategy range planning and financial planning as a Merchandiser. This role drives commercial plans and leads a high performing merchandising team. You will shape assortment frameworks and manage stock across stores e-commerce and concessions. The position offers a hybrid work model and competitive compensation.
What You'll Do11
- 1Develop and own departmental product strategy in collaboration with Buying and Design
- 2Define merchandise framework including option plan width depth pricing and colour trends
- 3Own financial planning including annual half year and quarterly forecasts
- 4Manage stock levels across stores e-commerce and concession partners
- 5Lead OpenToBuy and seasonal trading decisions to maximise sales and margin
- 6Optimise sizing strategy based on historical performance store space and market opportunities
- 7Collaborate with Branch Merchandising to ensure distribution across formats and segments
- 8Lead weekly trading analysis and execute actions to balance growth stock risk and profitability
- 9Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning and reporting
- 10Lead and develop assistant merchandiser and MAA roles
- 11Participate in cross functional projects with Buying Design Finance Supply Chain and E-commerce teams
Requirements8
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2AWS Certified
- 35+ years experience in merchandising planning within fast paced retail
- 4Strong commercial acumen with analytical communication and stakeholder management skills
- 5Proficiency with SAP BW MicroStrategy Business Objects and advanced Excel
- 6Passion for fashion retail thriving in dynamic environments
- 7Fluent English written and spoken
- 8Experience with trade analysis and forward commitment review
