Merchandise Associate, Retail Store Operations
Overview
You own the customer experience at Marshalls Gulfgate, keeping the store clean, organized, and recovery-focused. You will engage with every shopper, model customer experience principles, and maintain merchandising standards across the floor. What You'll Do8
- 1Engage and interact with all customers to deliver a highly satisfied experience, embodying customer experience principles each shift.
- 2Accurately ring purchases and returns, counting change back per procedure, and promote credit and loyalty programs.
- 3Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and standards, processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor.
- 4Initiate and complete store recovery throughout the day, ensuring the floor stays clean and organized.
- 5Participate in maintaining the entire store's cleanliness and organizational standards, including backroom areas.
- 6Support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs to protect company assets.
- 7Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, and contribute to a safe environment.
- 8Undertake cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs as assigned.
Requirements8
- 1Possess excellent customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
- 2Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to support store operations.
- 3Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- 4Capable of multi-tasking and responding adaptively to changing priorities.
- 5Able to lift heavy objects, with or without accommodation.
- 6Works effectively with peers and supervisors in a team environment.
- 7Retail customer experience preferred but not required.
- 8High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
