Medical Scribe OB/GYN - Dallas, TX
Overview
This role owns the complete clinical documentation workflow for a busy OB/GYN practice in Dallas. You'll capture patient encounters in real time, update EHR systems, and support a high-volume clinic with 4-day weekly shifts. Working directly with the physician, you'll manage charting during exams and procedures. Prior scribe experience is required, making this a fit for someone who can hit the ground running.
What You'll Do7
- 1Document patient history, exam findings, and treatment plans for each encounter in the EHR system.
- 2Chart during gynecological exams and prenatal visits, capturing details in real time.
- 3Prepare after-visit summaries and instructions for patients before they leave.
- 4Flag incomplete documentation and follow up with the physician to close gaps.
- 5Update patient medical records with lab results, referrals, and follow-up orders.
- 6Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- 7Maintain patient flow by assisting with rooming and vitals during peak hours.
Requirements7
- 11+ years of medical scribe experience in a clinical setting.
- 2Strong medical terminology knowledge, especially in OB/GYN.
- 3Ability to type at least 60 WPM with high accuracy.
- 4Familiarity with EHR platforms and documentation practices.
- 5Availability for shifts on Tuesday 8a-8p, Wednesday 1p-8p, Friday 8a-8p, and Saturday 8a-3:30p.
- 6High school diploma or equivalent; CPR certification a plus.
- 7Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic environment.
Salary Insight
$37 - $46k per year
