What You'll Do9
- 1Design and execute hematology immunohematology chemistry bacteriology mycology serology parasitology endocrinology general immunology and urinalysis tests to support disease diagnosis and prevention.
- 2Maintain laboratory supply inventory by forecasting needs, placing orders and verifying receipts to ensure uninterrupted testing operations.
- 3Conserve resources by optimizing equipment usage and troubleshooting instrumentation issues within policy guidelines.
- 4Provide clinical laboratory information and interpret test results while mentoring new staff and students as a technical resource.
- 5Perform quality control checks daily, document findings in the LIS, and communicate abnormal patient conditions to supervisors, pathologists and physicians.
- 6Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, conduct preventative maintenance, and resolve technical problems independently.
- 7Lead quality initiatives including participation in external proficiency testing and continuing education to retain certifications.
- 8Drive process improvements through proactive identification of additional work tasks during low census periods.
- 9Collaborate across departments to foster cooperation and streamline inter‑departmental workflows.
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading clinical laboratory teams
- 3MSL(ASCP) certification required
- 4MLS(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) certification preferred
- 5Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution meeting ASCP standards
