What You'll Do10

  • 1Determine specimen acceptability and perform blood bank tests, communicating critical results per policy.
  • 2Differentiate and resolve instrument, technical, or physiologic causes of unexpected test results.
  • 3Apply Lean principles and maintain 5S standards in your work area.
  • 4Initiate and troubleshoot quality control on reagents and test systems, ensuring accuracy.
  • 5Operate and maintain equipment, documenting preventive maintenance and reporting malfunctions.
  • 6Communicate results to physicians and nurses while ensuring confidentiality.
  • 7Participate in inventory control and supply chain using Lean tools.
  • 8Drive quality improvement and share ideas to improve standard work processes.
  • 9Support teamwork and a positive environment with helpful interactions.
  • 10Maintain inspection readiness by complying with regulatory standards and participating in tracers and audits.

Requirements8

  • 11+ years of job-related experience preferred.
  • 2Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a science discipline, per CLIA requirements.
  • 3Certification or eligibility in Medical Technology, with certification obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • 4Ability to work 3rd shift, full-time, on-site.
  • 5Knowledge of Lean principles and 5S methodology.
  • 6Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • 7Ability to follow written procedures and document understanding.
  • 8Commitment to continuous learning and regulatory compliance.
