Medical Imaging Field Engineer Northeast Zone, MR, CT, & X-Ray
Overview
Own field service for imaging systems across MR, CT, and X-Ray modalities within the Northeast Zone at scale. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on customer equipment at sites with minimal supervision. Collaborate with customers and peers to ensure system performance and high satisfaction. This role blends hands-on engineering with relationship management and travel.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and deliver timely repairs and preventive maintenance on imaging systems including MR CT and X-Ray to ensure peak performance
- 2Design and execute service plans that meet revenue, expense, and inventory targets within your territory
- 3Lead operator training and knowledge transfer to maximize system uptime and user proficiency
- 4Ship and install imaging equipment and perform modifications as needed to support customer needs
- 5Own relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, handling administrative duties accurately
- 6Scale field operations by managing assets including company vehicle, tools, and inventory
- 7Drive issue resolution and provide proactive guidance to reduce repeat service calls
- 8Debug and test systems after service to validate performance and safety
- 9Maintain proficiency with network applications and service tools eVO mButler
- 10Travel extensively within the Northeast Zone to customer sites and adhere to fleet safety policy
Requirements10
- 1Minimum high school diploma; technical Associates Degree or equivalent preferred
- 23+ years of experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer servicing diagnostic instruments
- 3Proficiency with tools and service test equipment and ability to work independently or in a team
- 4Experience performing service, preventative maintenance and modifications on medical imaging equipment at customer sites
- 5Strong customer service and communication skills
- 6Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to travel day and night
- 7Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and perform bending, climbing, and other physical tasks
- 8Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- 9Knowledge of network applications and tools (including eVO, mButler, MS Office, NAM Customer Service tools)
- 10Residence in a Northeast Zone state and willingness to travel extensively
