Medical Assistant/LVN, Pain Medicine & Patient Care
Overview
You will own front and back office operations at a pain medicine clinic in Houston, TX, handling daily patient flow and clinical support. You will work onsite, travel between offices as needed, and collaborate with a small team of providers and staff. What You'll Do8
- 1Greet patients at check-in, verify insurance, and manage schedules to keep the clinic running on time.
- 2Answer phone calls, book appointments, and handle front desk paperwork for smooth patient check-in and check-out.
- 3Room patients, record vital signs and full medical history into the EMR system.
- 4Assist providers during pain management procedures, including preparing the exam room and positioning patients.
- 5Maintain and update patient health records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with clinic standards.
- 6Clean and prepare exam rooms after each use, restocking supplies as needed.
- 7Track medical inventory, place new orders, and support the office manager in daily operations.
- 8Perform light cleaning duties to keep the clinic environment safe and welcoming.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of medical office experience, ideally in a clinical setting.
- 21+ year of vital signs measurement and patient intake experience.
- 31+ year of EMR system usage, with the ability to navigate records efficiently.
- 4Certified Medical Assistant credential preferred, or an active LVN license.
- 5Willingness to travel between Houston office locations as needed.
- 6Strong communication skills for patient interactions and team collaboration.
- 7Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment while maintaining accuracy.
