What You'll Do10

  • 1Greet and support patients virtually and in person, preparing them for visits and performing basic clinical tasks such as testing, injections, and EKGs.
  • 2Assist with exams, maintaining exam rooms and equipment to ensure readiness for each patient encounter.
  • 3Manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling to coordinate care.
  • 4Handle clerical duties, troubleshoot video visits, and support patient portal access for seamless virtual care.
  • 5Document patient interactions accurately in EPIC and comply with privacy regulations.
  • 6Perform point-of-care testing and administer medications as directed by providers.
  • 7Coordinate with the care team to ensure timely follow-up and patient education.
  • 8Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized.
  • 9Support patient flow during high-volume periods to minimize wait times.
  • 10Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and safety.

Requirements10

  • 1High School Graduate or GED required.
  • 2Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the NCCA or ANSI.
  • 31+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care or clinical setting preferred.
  • 4Proficiency in EMR systems, specifically EPIC, and basic computer skills.
  • 5Ability to perform EKGs, administer injections, and conduct point-of-care testing.
  • 6Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members.
  • 7Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • 8Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA guidelines.
  • 9CPR certification required (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • 10Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
