Medical Assistant, Primary Care – EPIC EMR
Overview
You will cover a Medical Assistant on maternity leave, owning patient care support across two Primary Care sites in the Hillsboro, Oregon area. You will work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, on a 3-5 month contract with Envision Talent Solutions. You will rotate between two practices 4 miles apart, supporting providers with hands-on care. You will use EPIC for charting and scheduling, and you will maintain a steady, predictable schedule.
What You'll Do10
- 1Own patient intake and rooming, including vitals, history, and chief complaint, using EPIC.
- 2Support providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education in a Primary Care setting.
- 3Administer medications and immunizations as directed, following clinic protocols.
- 4Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
- 5Coordinate patient flow to keep the schedule on time, communicating delays to the care team.
- 6Rotate between two clinic sites 4 miles apart, adapting to each location's workflow.
- 7Document patient interactions accurately in EPIC during and after each visit.
- 8Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory of supplies.
- 9Handle front desk tasks including check-in, insurance verification, and phone messages.
- 10Assist with referrals and follow-up appointments to close care loops.
Requirements9
- 12+ years of Certified Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
- 2Primary Care experience preferred, with hands-on patient care duties.
- 3Current CPC or CCMA certification as a Medical Assistant.
- 4Experience with EPIC EMR for charting and scheduling.
- 5Proficiency in phlebotomy with successful venipuncture on adult patients.
- 6Ability to rotate between two clinic sites approximately 4 miles apart.
- 7Strong organizational skills to manage patient flow and documentation.
- 8Team-oriented mindset with dependable attendance for a 3-5 month assignment.
- 9Comfortable with medical front desk tasks such as check-in and insurance verification.
