You will own patient care support at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic's Springwoods Village Campus, part of Optum's family. This role spans levels I-III, with duties from basic patient assistance to advanced clinical procedures. You will work alongside 900+ medical providers across 65 specialties, collaborating with a team dedicated to coordinated care. What You'll Do7
- 1Provide supportive patient care functions under supervision, ensuring safety and comfort per legal and professional standards.
- 2Execute delegated tasks as directed by a physician or RN, including vital signs and patient preparation.
- 3Administer injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks at the MA II level, building on MA I duties.
- 4Perform high-level clinical procedures and serve as a resource for less experienced staff at the MA III level.
- 5Use EPIC and Windows-based systems for patient documentation and data entry.
- 6Support ambulatory care workflows, assisting with exams and treatments as part of the orthopedic team.
- 7Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or GED, and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- 2BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- 3No experience required with a certification/registration as a Medical Assistant, or 1 year of directly related experience without certification/registration.
- 4Basic medical/nursing terminology and computer proficiency.
- 5Driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- 6For MA II: Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant and 5+ years of directly related experience.
- 7For MA III: Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant and 8+ years of directly related experience.
- 8Experience in Ambulatory Care, with EPIC and Windows-based computer systems.
Salary Insight
