What You'll Do11
- 1Direct patient care needs and guide patients to appropriate examination areas
- 2Prepare patient charts with vital signs and lab results before appointments
- 3Obtain and record vital signs using venipuncture techniques
- 4Maintain clean and organized healthcare environments following safety protocols
- 5Process blood samples and ensure specimen acceptability
- 6Perform EKGs and prepare patient documentation in electronic health records
- 7Assist physicians with minor clinical procedures and daily clinic operations
- 8Manage office supplies and coordinate equipment needs
- 9Ensure medication administration follows prescribed protocols
- 10Provide temporary coverage for colleagues during peak periods
- 11Screen and handle patient specimens according to clinical guidelines
Requirements11
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Completed specialized medical assistant certificate program
- 3Ability to communicate effectively in English
- 4Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association
- 5Current Nevada Medical Laboratory Personnel License
- 6Fire Life Safety Training required within 30 days of hire
- 71 year relevant experience preferred
- 8Familiarity with Cerner and scheduling software
- 9Knowledge of medical terminology
- 10Valid driver's license
- 11Valid identification
