What You'll Do9
- 1Perform venipuncture capillary draws and blood collection with precision and patient comfort as top priorities
- 2Properly label process store and prepare specimens for in-house testing or lab transport
- 3Handle blood specimens and other bodily fluids safely following OSHA and infection-control standards
- 4Obtain and record accurate patient vital signs including blood pressure pulse temperature respiration height weight and oxygen saturation
- 5Room patients and assist with patient flow throughout the clinic day
- 6Maintain phlebotomy supplies equipment and draw station cleanliness
- 7Document collections and patient information accurately in the electronic health record
- 8Engage warmly with patients especially anxious or needle-averse individuals to create a friendly and memorable experience
- 9Support the clinical team by answering phone calls scheduling appointments checking out patients and more
Requirements9
- 1Current phlebotomy certification (CPT or equivalent from a recognized certifying body)
- 2Demonstrated venipuncture proficiency across a range of patients including difficult draws
- 3Comfortable handling blood specimens and other bodily fluids
- 4Ability to take and record patient vital signs accurately
- 5Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly patient-first attitude
- 6Reliability and punctuality for a consistent full-time schedule
- 7Bilingual Spanish English fluency preferred
- 8Familiarity with electronic health records such as Tebra or Kareo
- 9BLS CPR certification
