Overview

Join Advance Community Health as a full‑time Medical Assistant across three locations. This role supports healthcare and administrative teams delivering compassionate care to the Triangle community.

What You'll Do12

  • 1Perform basic prep according to Advance Community Health guidelines
  • 2Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories vital signs and screenings
  • 3Assist RN or provider with patient triage including telephone triage
  • 4Complete information gathering segment of triage with specified patient population
  • 5Refer all problems and urgent needs to RN or provider and conduct patient follow‑up post encounter
  • 6Make follow‑up calls to patients as directed by the provider
  • 7Manage provider messages and test result reports in accordance with established site procedure
  • 8Manage prescription and refill medication request paperwork under the direction of the provider and schedule appointments
  • 9Review treatment related preparation instructions and follow‑up educational material with patients and families as directed by provider or RN
  • 10Ensure exam rooms are stocked clean and compliant with infection control standards
  • 11Provide culturally competent respectful patient interactions
  • 12Maintain appropriate monitoring logs

Requirements9

  • 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
  • 2High school diploma or GED required
  • 3Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program or military medical corpsman program required
  • 4Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA RMA or equivalent) preferred
  • 5BLS certification required or ability to obtain within designated timeframe
  • 6Experience working in an outpatient clinic community health or FQHC setting preferred
  • 7Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
  • 8Strong communication organizational and teamwork skills
  • 9Commitment to serving underserved and diverse patient populations
