MECM Engineer - Microsoft Endpoint Management Specialist
Overview
The MECM Engineer will lead design and implementation of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager solutions for the Department of the Air Force Enterprise IT as a Service program. This full-time position requires 5+ years experience with Spark and Airflow while delivering scalable Unified Endpoint Management capabilities. The successful candidate will establish industry-best practice procedures for patch management and create comprehensive documentation for knowledge transfer.
What You'll Do11
- 1Design and implement Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager solutions for DAF enterprise needs
- 2Ensure solution scalability to support organizational growth and diverse device environments
- 3Establish patch management procedures meeting industry standards for zero-day vulnerabilities
- 4Deploy and schedule application updates across Windows and BYOAD endpoints
- 5Remediate patching failures and configuration conflicts through systematic troubleshooting
- 6Document operational procedures and SOPs for smooth knowledge transfer
- 7Maintain MECM infrastructure and monitor SLA/SLR compliance metrics
- 8Collaborate with DAF security teams to validate requirement fulfillment timelines
- 9Communicate progress and challenges with cross-functional stakeholders and customers
- 10Support mobile device management and field operations for CONUS/OCONUS locations
- 11Drive independent problem resolution using Agile Scrum methodologies

- 1Active DoD Secret clearance required
- 2Security certification or 8570/IAT II compliance status
- 310+ years experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
- 4Proficiency with Spark and Airflow platforms
- 5Extensive experience managing large-scale Windows Server and workstation environments
- 6Familiarity with Adaptiva OneSite and Client Health solutions
- 7Proven track record in DoD or federal IT environments
- 8Knowledge of STIG requirements and ITILv4 frameworks
- 9Strong Excel and project management tool skills
- 10Excellent communication abilities for technical and stakeholder interactions
