What You'll Do8
- 1Repair and maintain yard facilities, utilities, and production equipment using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools.
- 2Install and repair infrastructure, production equipment, rolling stock, HVAC, and diesel engines.
- 3Inspect equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations, diagnosing failures with mechanical knowledge.
- 4Service equipment using test equipment, calipers, dial indicators, and feeler gauges.
- 5Complete work orders, inspection forms, discrepancy sheets, logbooks, and service forms.
- 6Maintain all utility distribution throughout the facilities, including piping and conveyors.
- 7Repair buildings, structures, and portable production support equipment.
- 8Fabricate parts using cutting techniques to support equipment repair.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of mechanical maintenance experience on pumps, piping systems, conveyors, and gearboxes.
- 2High school diploma with a trade school certificate in mechanical training or equivalent work experience.
- 3Read and comprehend schematics, diagrams, piping plans, and manufacturer documentation.
- 4Proficient with tape measures, rulers, dial indicators, calipers, depth gauges, and feeler gauges.
- 5Skilled in using gear pullers, hydraulic jacks, torque wrenches, and impact wrenches.
- 6Specialized training in diesel engines or automated equipment preferred.
- 7Fabrication skills using cutting techniques preferred.
- 8Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varied body positions; shift flexibility required.
