We seek a Mechanical Estimator to lead estimation efforts for a growing Pittsburgh based contractor. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of mechanical estimating experience with large commercial projects. What You'll Do9
- 1Read and understand complex project specifications
- 2Develop master budgets and cost models for mechanical systems
- 3Provide conceptual estimates for new projects
- 4Create hard bid estimates for client proposals
- 5Maintain and update comprehensive cost databases
- 6Review and provide feedback on peer estimates
- 7Generate independent change order estimates
- 8Produce pre-construction cost projections
- 9Lead estimation teams during project execution
Requirements10
- 15+ years estimator experience with mechanical piping plumbing sheet metal projects
- 2Proven track record with commercial estimating over $1M value
- 3Solid understanding of construction cost principles
- 4Ability to develop conceptual bids for design/build projects
- 5Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
- 6Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- 7Experience with construction software tools
- 8Four year degree in construction related field preferred
- 9Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
