Own the creation and management of precise 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and quality control at scale. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain 3D CAD models and assemblies for mechanical components using SolidWorks
- 2Create production-ready 2D drawings with GD&T and standards alignment
- 3Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to incorporate design changes and latest revisions
- 4Manage engineering documentation and BOMs in a Product Data Management system
- 5Review drawings for accuracy and consistency with drafting standards
- 6Assist engineers in selecting standard components and materials for manufacturability and cost
- 7Support fabrication and assembly teams by resolving drawing interpretation issues
- 8Develop standard block libraries and drawing templates to improve drafting efficiency
- 9Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturing and quality readiness
- 10Perform related drafting and design duties to support engineering goals
Requirements10
- 1Associates degree or certification in drafting, CAD technology, mechanical design, or related field
- 2Experience with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drafting of mechanical components and assemblies
- 3Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 and GD&T principles
- 4Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and schematics
- 5Strong collaboration and communication with engineering, fabrication, and assembly teams
- 6Experience or internship exposure to robotics, automation, or machine design environments
- 7Exposure to mechanical systems in aerospace/defense, oil and gas, or construction equipment
- 8Onsite work in Austin, TX with a typical 8:00 am to 5:00 pm schedule
- 9Proven track record of maintaining accurate documentation and managing revisions
- 10Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support production goals
