What You'll Do11
- 1Apply complex design practices to develop custom tooling jigs and fixtures using CNC milling turning and additive manufacturing
- 2Lead end-to-end strain testing activities overseeing engineers and technicians to analyze material behavior and performance trends
- 3Create detailed drawings and interface with machine shops for quotes and completion
- 4Manage sourcing and deliveries for fabrication of tools and equipment
- 5Drive production and technology roadmaps aligned with customer expectations
- 6Develop design improvements to enhance manufacturability while minimizing costs
- 7Perform tolerance analysis and recommend material behavior predictions
- 8Project manage key customer accounts
- 9Apply advanced analytical techniques such as finite element analysis to predict material behavior
- 10Translate material data into design guidance for optimized component performance
- 11Collaborate with development teams to support manufacturing tooling design initiatives
Requirements11
- 15+ years designing tooling and creating Solidworks drawings
- 26+ years stress-strain analysis and material characterization experience
- 3Strong 3D CAD proficiency with Solidworks preferred
- 4Experience with Fusion 360 NX or Creo
- 5Proficiency in manual or CNC milling/lathe operations
- 6Introductory understanding of GD&T dimensional management
- 7SD20 certification
