Overview
You will own assembly of components from work orders and blueprints while maintaining precision and safety. This role involves building parts using hand tools and torque equipment to meet specifications. The position requires a focus on accuracy and craftsmanship in a shop environment.
What You'll Do14
- 1Review work orders and drawings in Available Documents program
- 2Gather torque wrenches gauges and fixtures
- 3Verify fits with precision instruments and install fasteners
- 4Etch part IDs and hydro/vacuum test assemblies
- 5Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions
- 6Apply torque methods using torque wrenches
- 7Measure and verify work with precision instruments
- 8Operate hand tools and shop equipment like grinders and drills
- 9Install thread inserts keenserts and fasteners
- 10Run and troubleshoot electro etchers and vacuum pumps
- 11Handle materials with forklifts and overhead cranes
- 12Enter accurate data into IDC system
- 13Maintain daily cleanliness of equipment and workstations
- 14Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
Requirements6
- 1Core capability: demonstrated mechanical aptitude with hand torque tools
- 2High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3At least one year of trade school vocational education or apprenticeship preferred
- 4Physical demands: stand walk push pull reach overhead bend floor
- 5Visual acuity: near acuity and accommodation required
- 6Hearing ability: monitor machine sounds to diagnose issues
