Materials and Warehouse Manager, Power Electronics
Overview
You will own all inventory, receiving, and shipping for the Heron Link solid-state transformer, building the materials operation from zero as the company scales. You will set up cycle counts, ABC classification, and lot traceability, and design the lineside delivery system that feeds production. Working directly with the engineering team in San Jose, you will shape the MES and Material System workflows from the ground up. This is a hands-on role where you create the SOPs, packaging standards, and processes that define how material flows across three buildings.
What You'll Do7
- 1Own inventory accuracy for raw material, WIP, and finished goods, setting up cycle counting and ABC classification in NetSuite.
- 2Run receiving end to end: match POs, verify quantity and condition, hand off to inspection, and log every transaction in the MES.
- 3Manage outbound shipments, including finished goods, returns, transfers, and RMAs, coordinating carriers and ensuring packaging and labeling compliance.
- 4Build the lineside pick-and-deliver process from stock to production lines, validating MES picking and routing features as they mature.
- 5Serve as the primary materials-side user of the MES inventory, receiving, and shipping modules, giving structured feedback on workflow gaps.
- 6Partner with Supply Chain to right-size containers and kits for point-of-use delivery, minimizing handling and floor space in Scotts Valley.
- 7Maintain lot and date-code traceability for shelf-life-sensitive materials like encapsulants and adhesives, ensuring first-in-first-out rotation.
Requirements5
- 15+ years in materials, warehouse, or inventory management, with hands-on inventory, receiving, and shipping in an ERP or MES.
- 2Proven ability to build process from scratch in a startup environment, including SOPs, cycle counts, and receiving flows.
- 3Working knowledge of receiving inspection, cycle counting, ABC classification, and lot and date-code traceability.
- 4Strong cross-functional communication, comfortable with engineers on system requirements and supply chain on packaging.
- 5Nice to have: materials experience in hardware, electronics, or EV manufacturing; forklift certification; experience with hazardous chemicals.
