Material Handler Warehouse Part Time
Overview
Own package movement and equipment operation in a high-volume FedEx warehouse. You will run pallet jacks and conveyor systems to move freight, build and break down pallets, and coordinate with the ULD repair vendor. This part-time evening role requires physical stamina and a valid driver's license. Work Tuesday to Saturday, 7 PM to 11 PM, and get up to $21.25 per hour.
What You'll Do7
- 1Operate pallet jacks and conveyor systems to move packages and documents safely and efficiently.
- 2Build and break down pallets containing heavyweight freight, using stretch wrap and banding tools.
- 3Serve as liaison between the company and the ULD repair vendor, reporting damage and coordinating repairs.
- 4Load and unload air containers and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- 5Complete all basic and re-currency training on safety procedures and equipment operation.
- 6Communicate effectively with team members in a noisy operations environment using hand signals and radios.
- 7Maintain a clean and organized work area, disposing of packaging waste and reporting hazards.
Requirements7
- 1Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from ground to chest level.
- 2Able to maneuver packages above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment or help from another person.
- 3Able to walk and stand for the full 4-hour shift.
- 4Able to bend, squat, and reach above shoulder level repeatedly.
- 5Able to work in all weather conditions as required.
- 6Must pass a drug screen and maintain alertness.
- 7Must possess a valid driver's license.
