You will own the receiving, stocking, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment for the NC/GA Distribution Center at Advocate Health, processing 100+ transactions per shift with RF scanner and PC technologies. You'll operate powered equipment safely, verify documentation, and maintain secure, organized storage areas. This role stands out for its direct impact on patient care readiness across a 69-hospital network. You'll work Monday through Friday, 2:30p-11:00p, with rotating weekends, in a fast-moving supply chain environment.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Receive physical goods from suppliers and returned goods from departments, verifying counts and condition against purchase orders in the ERP system.
  • 2Execute inventory transactions using RF scanners and PC to maintain accurate stock levels and traceability.
  • 3Review and verify all inbound and outbound documentation, flagging discrepancies to supervisors.
  • 4Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered equipment safely, following OSHA guidelines.
  • 5Transport and store supplies to prevent damage, rotating stock and labeling shelves for efficient picking.
  • 6Supervise the receiving and distribution of equipment and supplies, prioritizing urgent requests from clinical areas.
  • 7Inspect working and storage areas daily, removing non-functional equipment and reporting issues to maintenance.
  • 8Complete and submit daily inspection checklists for powered equipment, ensuring operational readiness.
  • 9Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, performing housekeeping tasks and following safety protocols.
  • 10Collaborate with team members to meet shift quotas and support cross-functional areas during peak demand.

Requirements10

  • 1High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent related work experience preferred.
  • 21+ year experience in warehouse, distribution, or material handling environment.
  • 3Valid driver's license with no violations in the last 3 years (may be required depending on facility).
  • 4Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand/walk for lengthy periods.
  • 5Experience operating powered equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • 6Proficiency with RF scanners and basic PC skills for data entry.
  • 7Ability to work in patient care areas, often under stressful conditions, and support multiple functions per shift.
  • 8Must be able to stoop, stretch, push, and pull frequently to perform job duties.
  • 9Strong attention to detail and ability to verify documentation accurately.
  • 10Willingness to work Monday-Friday 2:30p-11:00p with alternating weekends.
