Manufacturing Lead Operator, Card Production
Overview
You will lead a shift team of 4 to 8 operators while running machines yourself in a Pittsburgh card production plant. Wolfe, a FinTech company, embeds AI across its products and processes, and you will bring that same data-driven approach to the production floor using tools like CPM and Metabase. You will own the daily 100% shipping SLA by the 7:00 pm cutoff, keep quality errors at zero, and develop your team's skills. This is a 5-day onsite role where your hands-on leadership directly impacts financial product delivery.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead a shift team of 4 to 8 operators while running a machine or process yourself, keeping the line moving to meet the daily 100% shipping SLA by the 7:00 pm cutoff.
- 2Monitor the CPM system daily to track production flow and document any errors in weekly reports.
- 3Uphold the quality goal of zero customer-impacting errors by logging every error in Google Sheets and driving follow-up.
- 4Train operators and redeploy staff across production areas as workflow dictates, partnering with machine technicians to resolve breakdowns.
- 5Complete shift administration including timesheet sign-off, PTO in Zenefits, and 30/60/90-day, semi-annual, and annual reviews.
- 6Maintain inventory, PCI compliance, and a clean, organized production floor.
- 7Pull reporting from Metabase to deliver accurate, on-time weekly error and quality reports.
- 8Master every machine in the production environment, stepping into any station as workflow requires.
- 9Escalate shift issues to the Director of Plant Operations.
- 10Operate in full adherence to all PCI requirements with no compliance findings in the first 120 days.
Requirements8
- 13-5 years of leadership or team-lead experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- 2Hands-on ability to run production machinery and step into any process on the line.
- 3Proven ability to train, coach, and provide direction to junior operators during a shift.
- 4Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- 5Comfort learning production and reporting systems (CPM, Metabase) and HR tools (Zenefits).
- 6Familiarity with PCI compliance requirements or the ability to learn them quickly.
- 7Flexibility to work variable or extended hours as production demands.
- 8Able to stand and walk for the duration of a shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
