
Manufacturing Engineer, Food & Beverage - Onsite in Indianapolis
Overview
Owns process design, equipment specifications, and documentation for a food and beverage client at scale. Collaborates through final design, installation, startup, and commissioning to optimize processes and troubleshoot equipment online. Brings manufacturing experience to support process optimization and tech transfer across phases.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead process design decisions during final design and planning phases
- 2Specify equipment and instrumentation requirements for beverage manufacturing lines
- 3Develop and maintain documentation for process flows, validation, and commissioning
- 4Support installation, startup, and commissioning activities to ensure smooth handover to operations
- 5Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and implement root cause countermeasures
- 6Optimize processes to improve throughput, quality, and yield during ramp up
- 7Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, maintenance, and procurement
- 8Provide training and knowledge transfer to operations teams
- 9Ensure compliance with food safety, quality systems, and regulatory standards
- 10Document lessons learned and transfer knowledge to future projects
Requirements10
- 1Minimum of 5+ years in manufacturing engineering or process engineering for food and beverage environments
- 2Strong knowledge of process design, equipment specs, and commissioning activities
- 3Experience with process optimization, troubleshooting, and tech transfer
- 4Onsite availability in Indianapolis, Indiana
- 5LinkedIn profile required for submission
- 6Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across design, installation, and startup
- 7Familiarity with FDA, HACCP, or other food safety standards
- 8Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 9Must have hands-on experience with integrating equipment into manufacturing lines
