What You'll Do10
- 1Work with surgeons radiologists radiation oncologists and physicians to provide quality care to patients with breast health concerns
- 2Rotate to all locations performing mammography services
- 3Schedule all patients requiring additional imaging including diagnostic mammograms breast ultrasounds breast MRIs and biopsies
- 4Review and track biopsy results and facilitate hand-offs to Clinical Navigators
- 5Serve as a resource teaching breast self-examination and answering patient concerns
- 6Educate patients on procedures before during and after diagnostic and treatment sessions
- 7Evaluate patient recovery using available resources and develop educational materials
- 8Participate in professional growth by attending meetings conferences and courses
- 9Perform mammography scans during emergencies
- 10Maintain accurate records and adhere to Virtua policies and procedures
Requirements6
- 1Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Mammography Technologist
- 2Knowledge of MQSA FDA standards
- 3Graduate degree from an accredited Radiology Technology school
- 4Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and NJDEP licensure
- 5Advanced certification in Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
- 6CPR certification desired
