Maintenance Technician - Material Handling Equipment Chicago
Overview
We seek a skilled Maintenance Technician to support inspection repair and upkeep of material handling equipment and assist with minor building maintenance. This role suits hands-on safety-conscious individuals comfortable in fast-paced settings. You will inspect troubleshoot and repair equipment handle basic building tasks maintain service records report issues and manage spare parts inventory. What You'll Do11
- 1Inspect troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment
- 2Perform routine checks on electrical and power units
- 3Identify malfunctions and complete repairs on electrical systems and vehicle engines
- 4Handle light building maintenance such as changing bulbs painting and caulking
- 5Maintain records of service cycles and maintenance work performed
- 6Report damages defects and equipment issues to leadership
- 7Order spare and replacement parts and complete documentation
- 8Assist with daily inventory counts
- 9Move equipment between buildings as needed
- 10Follow all safety procedures GMP requirements and company policies
- 11Support additional maintenance-related duties as assigned
Requirements11
- 15+ years building maintenance experience
- 23-5 seasons of mechanical experience
- 3AWS Certified technician certification
- 4Spark and Airflow proficiency
- 5High school diploma or GED required
- 6Forklift experience preferred
- 7Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely
- 8Physical stamina to stand walk bend reach twist and move throughout shifts
- 9Strong communication and time management skills
- 10Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- 11Positive attitude and cooperative work style
