You will own the repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for all production and engineering equipment at Air Liquide Advanced Materials in Fremont, CA. You will work with chemical processing equipment, gas manifolds, and facility systems, ensuring uptime and safety. The role demands 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in chemical or gas systems. You will also join the emergency response team, wearing a full-face respirator, and support continuous improvement projects.
What You'll Do10
- 1Install and modify chemical processing equipment, including gas manifolds, and repair auxiliary equipment to keep operations running.
- 2Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures in gas systems and facility infrastructure, minimizing downtime.
- 3Execute the Preventative Maintenance Program and the Monitoring and Measuring Devices Program to ensure compliance and reliability.
- 4Review and update Work Instructions to reflect current procedures and safety standards.
- 5Recommend preventive maintenance intervals based on repair data and equipment performance.
- 6Lead engineering improvement projects, defining scope and schedule with all affected teams.
- 7Set spare parts inventory levels and write Purchase Requisitions for needed components.
- 8Perform component rebuilds and calibrations for gas handling systems.
- 9Conduct leak checks and verify process flow in chemical processing equipment.
- 10Maintain full-face respirator fit by staying clean shaven, and participate in emergency response drills.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED.
- 23+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in chemical or fluid systems.
- 3Knowledge of gas (pressure) system component theory and operation.
- 4Ability to pass a respiratory test and wear a tight-fitting full-face respirator.
- 5Physical fitness to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
- 6Ability to roll cylinders weighing up to 200 lbs.
- 7Read and construct from P&ID or engineering drawings.
- 8Basic electronic, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills.
- 9Tube bending skills for gas lines.
- 10Effective communication skills and ability to work shifts including nights and weekends.
