Maintenance Technician / Electrician, Industrial Manufacturing
Overview
Own electrical and mechanical upkeep for a full-scale manufacturing plant in Elk Grove Village, IL. You will troubleshoot AC/DC systems, maintain rectifiers, and run circuits across production machinery. Work alongside a close-knit maintenance crew supporting 24/7 operations. What You'll Do9
- 1Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment, including AC/DC motors, drives, and controls
- 2Run electrical circuits, bend conduit, and wire into breaker boxes and switchgear per code
- 3Maintain and troubleshoot rectifiers and DC electrical systems, ensuring proper current output
- 4Diagnose machine malfunctions by observing operation and testing components to isolate faulty parts
- 5Dismantle and rebuild defective machinery parts using metal stock, then reassemble and test equipment
- 6Execute preventive maintenance schedules on production equipment, including lubrication and part replacement
- 7Perform welding tasks to fabricate and repair metal components as needed
- 8Document all work on job cards and update maintenance logs to track equipment history
- 9Follow Arc Flash safety standards and enforce lockout/tagout procedures during repairs
Requirements9
- 12+ years hands-on industrial electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- 2Proven ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- 3Experience running circuits, bending conduit, and wiring breaker boxes and switchgear
- 4Strong mechanical aptitude for machine repair and diagnosing equipment failures
- 5Arc Flash safety awareness and compliance with NFPA 70E standards
- 6High school diploma or GED; accredited technical-school training strongly considered
- 7Willingness to work full-time on-site in Elk Grove Village, IL, including overtime as needed
- 8Rectifier or DC current experience highly preferred
- 9Welding experience preferred; bilingual English/Spanish a plus
