Overview

You will own maintenance and repair for Hilti's Dallas facility, ensuring production uptime across 5+ years of electrical and mechanical systems. You will work Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm in a climate-controlled environment, supporting a team of 30,000+ employees. You will also handle network infrastructure duties, including SAP and Microsoft tools. This role stands out for its dual focus on electrical journeyman work and IT support.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment using 5+ years of hands-on experience with test instruments.
  • 2Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and service per manufacturer's specifications to extend equipment life.
  • 3Install and troubleshoot network switches, wireless access points, and phone systems as part of IT support duties.
  • 4Maintain accurate records of material requests and repairs using SAP and Microsoft Excel.
  • 5Operate forklifts and boom lifts safely to move materials and access equipment.
  • 6Train peers on troubleshooting techniques, promoting cross-training for minor maintenance tasks.
  • 7Enforce safety standards by example and correct unsafe situations immediately.
  • 8Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure timely delivery of network services.
  • 9Support Hilti's Environmental Management System by following compliance procedures.
  • 10Lead improvement projects by identifying opportunities and implementing solutions in line with the Business Process Manual.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years of total maintenance experience, including 3+ years as an Electrical Journeyman and 2+ years in network and security system support.
  • 2High School diploma or equivalent, with a valid Electrical Journeyman License.
  • 3Proven ability to use electrical test instruments for troubleshooting and repair.
  • 4Hands-on experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and SAP.
  • 5Strong organizational and communication skills for documentation and team collaboration.
  • 6Physical capability to operate forklifts and boom lifts, with certification preferred.
  • 7Knowledge of National Electrical Code and regulatory compliance.
  • 8Flexibility to handle impromptu tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
