Overview
Maintenance Technician / Security at The Farmstead at Medford, an Independent Living Senior Community, owns upkeep and safety for a 24/7 operation. You will handle maintenance requests, monitor life safety systems, and secure the building after hours. Serving roughly 200 residents, you will join a hospitality-driven team that values respect and service. This role also includes free meals during shifts and flexible schedules.
What You'll Do7
- 1Clean and maintain public common areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents and guests.
- 2Respond to maintenance requests from residents, covering basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.
- 3Monitor and respond to emergencies, including building life safety systems and fire alarm panels.
- 4Manage the concierge desk during overnight shifts, fielding security requests and maintenance needs.
- 5Tour the building to verify entry doors are locked and secured after hours.
- 6Perform routine building repairs and custodial tasks, including floor care and painting touch-ups.
- 7Collaborate with the team to provide quality service and uphold core values of respect, kindness, and excellence.
Requirements8
- 11+ years facility maintenance experience in a hotel, apartment, or senior living setting.
- 2High school diploma or GED required.
- 3Working knowledge of custodial procedures, including floor care and painting.
- 4Basic computer skills in email and Microsoft Word.
- 5Preferred basic HVAC experience, though not mandatory.
- 6Ability to communicate effectively with residents, managers, and vendors.
- 7Physical capability to reach, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- 8Flexibility to work evenings, overnights, and weekends.
