What You'll Do8

  • 1Coordinate and monitor maintenance contracts for district-wide projects.
  • 2Develop and manage 1- and 4-year maintenance budgets, including material requisitions.
  • 3Evaluate road conditions using Pavement Management data to prioritize preservation.
  • 4Lead the pavement data collection program, analyzing results for asset preservation.
  • 5Prepare specifications for special maintenance contracts.
  • 6Train staff on maintenance program procedures and safety protocols.
  • 7Collaborate with Area Offices to align maintenance priorities and resource allocation.
  • 8Monitor project timelines, budgets, and compliance with TxDOT policies.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years in transportation maintenance project administration or related experience.
  • 23+ years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • 3Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (experience may substitute year-for-year).
  • 4Valid driver's license and ability to drive a state vehicle.
  • 5Knowledge of pavement design, maintenance management, and budgeting methods.
  • 6Proficiency in GIS, Microsoft Excel, and TxDOT reporting tools.
  • 7Experience with highway maintenance concepts and contract inspection procedures.
  • 8Ability to analyze data and prepare reports for decision-making.
