Maintenance Manager - Housing
Overview
Lead maintenance operations for a housing portfolio in Washington DC delivering consistent service excellence. What You'll Do11
- 1Own the overall performance and accountability of maintenance operations across the assigned portfolio
- 2Build and maintain strong working relationships with property management companies and engineering teams
- 3Coordinate maintenance activities with on-site teams to complete work orders and preventative maintenance efficiently
- 4Partner with Housing Coordinators and the Housing Program Manager to support Resident Ready timelines
- 5Monitor maintenance response times and drive accountability for service level expectations
- 6Conduct regular site visits to review performance and verify quality of completed work
- 7Coordinate vendor communications and oversee third-party service providers
- 8Partner with Resident Experience and Housekeeping to communicate priorities and ensure seamless coordination
- 9Maintain accurate maintenance reporting and ensure compliance with policies and SOPs
- 10Provide hands-on operational support and address emergencies as needed
- 11Support operational teams and develop solutions to improve service delivery
Requirements12
- 1Four or more years of experience in skilled labor facilities engineering or maintenance operations management
- 2CFC Universal certification required
- 3Engineering or HVAC License preferred
- 4Ability to work on-call shifts consistently
- 5Valid driver's license and willingness to drive to properties daily
- 6Strong knowledge of building systems and preventative maintenance principles
- 7Excellent organizational and project coordination skills
- 8Demonstrated relationship-building abilities without direct reporting authority
- 9Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information
- 10Comfortable using multiple technology platforms and operational systems
- 11Physical stamina to stand sit or walk for extended periods and handle objects up to 50 pounds
