E.M.A. Hospitality seeks a Maintenance Engineer to own property upkeep across our Chicago portfolio. You will handle repairs, preventive maintenance, and guest issue resolution. You will report directly to the Chief Engineer and have 2+ years of experience to build on.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform routine inspections of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems to identify issues.
- 2Respond to guest maintenance requests within 30 minutes, resolving issues like leaks or outages.
- 3Complete preventive maintenance tasks on boilers, chillers, and pumps each quarter.
- 4Coordinate with vendors for major repairs, ensuring compliance with safety codes.
- 5Document all work orders in CMMS software and track parts inventory.
- 6Assist with room turnovers, including furniture assembly and fixture repairs.
- 7Train junior technicians on safety protocols and tool usage.
- 8Support emergency response during weather events or equipment failures.
Requirements7
- 12+ years in maintenance or a related trade (hospitality preferred).
- 2Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is a plus.
- 3Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- 4Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long shifts.
- 5Comfort with power tools and diagnostic equipment.
- 6Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- 7High school diploma or equivalent.
