AbilityPath seeks a Maintenance Assistant to maintain camp grounds and facilities at Camp Via West in San Jose. What You'll Do9
- 1Maintain camp buildings grounds landscaping and outdoor spaces
- 2Operate lawn care and landscaping equipment including mowers trimmers blowers chippers and chainsaws
- 3Perform general maintenance and repairs covering plumbing electrical carpentry masonry and mechanical systems
- 4Assist with pool operations and equipment maintenance
- 5Set up and take down for camp events and activities
- 6Move furniture and equipment as needed
- 7Drive camp vehicles to transport campers staff and supplies
- 8Support volunteer work groups and community service crews
- 9Maintain a safe clean and welcoming camp environment
Requirements11
- 1At least one year of maintenance landscaping facilities or related experience
- 2High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3Ability to safely operate maintenance and landscaping equipment
- 4Strong communication and organizational skills
- 5Physical stamina to stand walk and lift materials up to 100 pounds
- 6Valid California Driver's License
- 7Must be at least 21 years old to transport campers
- 8Pass DOJ FBI fingerprint clearance
- 9Clean driving record
- 10CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
- 11Availability for occasional evenings weekends and select holidays
