What You'll Do7
- 1Operate and monitor cutting, coiling, and measuring machines to produce wire and cable to specification, ensuring accuracy within 0.1 inches.
- 2Load raw wire and cable onto machines, threading through rollers and guides, and set up for daily runs.
- 3Read work orders and use tape measures and calipers to verify lengths and dimensions, adjusting as needed.
- 4Inspect finished spools for defects, proper labeling, and quality standards, rejecting non-conforming product.
- 5Package finished spools and coils for shipment, labeling correctly and staging for pickup.
- 6Maintain a clean and organized work area, following 5S principles and safety protocols.
- 7Report mechanical issues to supervisors and perform basic troubleshooting on machines to minimize downtime.
Requirements7
- 11+ years in manufacturing, production, or machine operation preferred.
- 2Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during an 8-hour shift.
- 3Comfortable using tape measures, calipers, and basic hand tools.
- 4Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions and work orders.
- 5Willingness to learn and operate multiple machines, including spoolers and coilers.
- 6Dependable with a good attendance record.
- 7Authorization to work in the United States.
