Machine Builder, Automation & Medical Device
Overview
Owns machine assembly for automated equipment used in medical device manufacturing at scale. Works with mechanical and electrical systems on a clean manufacturing floor. Collaborates with engineers, technicians, and trainers to build, test, and troubleshoot complex equipment. This role stands out through exposure to multi-industry applications including aerospace and nuclear while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies from prints and BOMs to create complete machines
- 2Follow step-by-step instructions to connect and assemble components both mechanically and electrically
- 3Perform electrical wiring and control panel assembly and testing according to schematics
- 4Read blueprints and diagrams to guide assembly and verify dimensions with tape measures
- 5Use multimeters and diagnostic tools to test components and troubleshoot systems
- 6Assist with or supervise machine power-up to ensure safe operation and proper function
- 7Work with hydraulic and pneumatic components during automated equipment builds
- 8Maintain organized work areas in clean room or clean manufacturing spaces
- 9Collaborate with team members and trainers to improve skills and support project goals
- 10Demonstrate willingness to train and cross-train in related machine building areas
Requirements10
- 12–3+ years of experience building machines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, or automated equipment
- 21+ year of experience reading mechanical and electrical schematics, prints, or diagrams
- 31+ year of experience troubleshooting and testing components using volt meters
- 4Proficiency in mechanical assembly and machine building
- 5Ability to perform electrical wiring and basic electrical assembly
- 6Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an automation environment
- 7Strong blueprint and schematic reading skills for mechanical and electrical systems
- 8Hands-on experience with hand and power tools safely and effectively
- 9Ability to follow detailed, step-by-step instructions and adhere to BOMs and assembly documentation
- 10Demonstrated willingness to train and learn new skills in related technical areas
