Overview
You will assemble custom industrial equipment for a family-owned manufacturer with over 60 years in business. Working on a dedicated assembly team, you will install mechanical components, align assemblies, and fit parts to blueprint specifications. You will use hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and overhead cranes daily. This role offers high visibility into the entire manufacturing process and pays double time after 50 hours.
What You'll Do5
- 1Assemble custom industrial equipment by installing mechanical components and aligning assemblies per blueprints.
- 2Fit parts according to engineering drawings, ensuring precise tolerances with micrometers and calipers.
- 3Use hand tools, power tools, and overhead cranes to build and move equipment safely.
- 4Troubleshoot fit-up and assembly issues, making adjustments to ensure proper function.
- 5Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve build challenges and improve assembly methods.
Requirements5
- 13+ years machine building or assembly experience in manufacturing.
- 2Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and engineering drawings.
- 3Proficiency with hand, power, and measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- 4Comfort operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
- 5High attention to detail and problem-solving skills for fit-up adjustments.
