What You'll Do9
- 1Build and maintain organized loan documentation in paper and digital formats for audit readiness
- 2Design file review workflows to verify completeness and readiness for underwriting
- 3Lead lien perfection, title review, flood certification tracking, and insurance follow-up activities
- 4Drive accuracy in tax service documentation and coordinate property tax disbursement tasks
- 5Own setup and ongoing administration of escrow accounts and related monitoring
- 6Support regulatory reporting and data tracking for home mortgage disclosure requirements
- 7Prepare recurring loan activity and status reports for management
- 8Coordinate with internal partners and external stakeholders to resolve documentation issues
- 9Ensure mortgage files progress on schedule by maintaining proactive communication with team members
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2At least 2 years of experience in mortgage processing, real estate lending support, or a closely related field
- 3Working knowledge of mortgage lending practices, documentation standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
- 4Experience using lending or servicing platforms along with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- 5Strong attention to detail with the ability to review documents carefully and maintain accurate records
- 6Ability to manage a high-volume workload, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- 7Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with a dependable and service-oriented approach
- 8Notary Public certification preferred
- 9Onsite position in Detroit, Michigan, contract role
- 10Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure file accuracy and timely processing
