Overview
As a Litigation Technology Specialist, you will own the Trial Director and Opus2 platforms that power our courtroom presentations and deposition workflows. You will support attorneys across Dallas, Texas, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, preparing digital exhibits and managing technology for high-stakes trials. Collaborating with the IT Help Desk and ELS team, you will troubleshoot live issues and train legal teams to ensure every hearing runs flawlessly. This role stands apart with hands-on courtroom support and travel to multiple courthouses, making you indispensable when the pressure is highest.
What You'll Do8
- 1Configure Trial Director and OnCue for trial prep, syncing video exhibits and creating multimedia demonstratives for courtroom playback.
- 2Manage deposition workflows in Opus2, coordinating real-time transcript feeds and video synchronization for attorneys and paralegals.
- 3Authenticate web and social media evidence with Page Vault, maintaining chain of custody and documentation for admissibility.
- 4Assemble trial kits, including laptops, cables, and projectors, and test all courtroom equipment before each hearing or trial.
- 5Provide on-site technical support during trials, operating presentation software and troubleshooting issues without disrupting proceedings.
- 6Build and maintain a litigation technology inventory across offices, tracking deployed equipment and software licenses.
- 7Train attorneys and legal teams on Litigation Support tools, leading short sessions that cover presentation and deposition best practices.
- 8Partner with the ELS team to load case data into Relativity or Everlaw for document review, ensuring seamless handoff when needed.
Requirements7
- 13+ years in a law firm or legal department supporting litigation technology or e-discovery.
- 2Hands-on expertise with Trial Director, OnCue, and Opus2, including video editing and synchronized playback.
- 3Working knowledge of Page Vault for authentic evidence collection and preservation.
- 4Solid understanding of the litigation lifecycle, from discovery through trial, and basic familiarity with Relativity or Everlaw.
- 5Ability to lift 25+ pounds of trial equipment and travel to courthouses and offices as needed.
- 6Bachelor's degree in legal technology, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7Strong verbal and written communication skills to train and guide legal teams under deadline pressure.
