Overview
Oak Plains Academy seeks a dynamic Licensed Teacher to join our professional team. What You'll Do9
- 1Design and deliver instruction using evidence-based strategies for students with learning disabilities and behavioral mental health concerns
- 2Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with student-specific needs
- 3Collaborate with psychiatrists psychologists social workers and therapists to implement therapeutic interventions
- 4Maintain accurate records documenting student progress and classroom activities
- 5Participate in team meetings to share insights and coordinate care approaches
- 6Support administrative tasks including scheduling and documentation
- 7Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement initiatives

Requirements9
- 1Valid Tennessee teaching license
- 2Endorsement for special education if previously licensed outside Tennessee
- 3Experience working with children who have learning disabilities or behavioral mental health challenges
- 4Current Tennessee driver's license
- 5Successful background check fingerprinting and employment verification
- 6Hold a bachelor's degree in education or related field
- 7Minimum 5+ years teaching experience
- 8Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting
- 9Strong communication skills for interacting with students families and staff
