What You'll Do10
- 1Visit group homes deliver medications update MAR and Treatment logs
- 2Conduct nursing assessments identify signs of illness and report findings
- 3Teach staff on resident care plans and medical needs
- 4Collaborate with healthcare professionals coordinate care and inform supervisors
- 5Provide health education to residents and families
- 6Perform general nursing duties including quarterly physical assessments and monthly breast exams
- 7Respond effectively to emergency situations calmly constructively and positively
- 8Utilize least restrictive approaches to behavior management demonstrate knowledge of psychiatric emergencies
- 9Travel to group homes as a visiting nurse
- 10Administer physician orders review transcribe and document actions
Requirements6
- 1Graduation from an accredited practical vocational nursing program
- 2Current license as an LPN in the Commonwealth of PA
- 3At least one year of LPN experience
- 4Genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities
- 5Valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation
- 6Physical capability to exert up to 50lbs occasionally frequent or 10lbs continuously
