Licensed Practical Nurse LPN, Behavioral Health
Overview
Deliver LPN direct patient care at The Blackberry Center, a behavioral health facility in Orlando, Florida. Administer medications, monitor psychiatric and substance abuse patients, and support therapeutic programming. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, therapists, and psychiatrists across two locations. This role offers 1+ years of behavioral health experience and CPR Certification in a fast-paced clinical environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
- 2Monitor patient conditions and document observations in electronic health records
- 3Assist patients with activities of daily living and deliver health education
- 4Support therapeutic interventions and crisis management for psychiatric patients
- 5Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary team collaboration
- 6Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation
- 7Respond to psychiatric emergencies and medical emergencies with CPR
- 8Assist with patient admissions, assessments, and discharge planning
- 9Guide Mental Health Technicians and team members in daily patient care
Requirements6
- 1Current LPN license in the State of Florida
- 2Current CPR Certification
- 31+ years of psychiatric or chemical dependency experience preferred
- 4Knowledge of behavioral health nursing practices and medication administration
- 5Strong communication, assessment, and crisis intervention skills
- 6Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
