The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care and clinical support to residents in an Assisted Living Facility and Memory Care environment. What You'll Do11
- 1Build and maintain therapeutic relationships with residents and families
- 2Design and implement individualized care plans aligned with physician orders
- 3Lead daily nursing activities including medication administration and wound care
- 4Supervise medication management through collaboration with Med Techs
- 5Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings in MAR/eMAR systems
- 6Provide dementia-specific care and support behavioral interventions
- 7Ensure strict adherence to infection control and HIPAA regulations
- 8Participate in interdisciplinary care coordination and staff training sessions
- 9Maintain accurate documentation and lead root cause analyses for incidents
- 10Develop and deliver patient education tailored to cognitive abilities
- 11Assist with emergency response protocols and disaster preparedness drills
Requirements10
- 1Current unrestricted Florida LPN license with minimum one year experience in assisted living or memory care settings
- 2Completion of Alzheimer’s Disease Training per Florida statute
- 3Valid CPR and BLS certifications
- 4Ability to pass Level 2 background screening
- 5Strong leadership skills with experience supervising nursing assistants and home health aides
- 6Familiarity with eMAR electronic medication administration systems
- 7Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
- 8Proven ability to respond to urgent resident needs throughout 12-hour shifts
- 9Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred but not required
- 10Demonstrated commitment to compassionate patient-centered care
